• Xu Dong, PhD, Chief Executive Officer, co-founder of PowerLayer Microsystems, 15 years industry experience in Silicon Valley with 12 years management experience. He was formerly Genesis CTO/VP, Sage Product Development VP and Faroudja R&D VP. He is a recipient of many Award-Winning products such as: “Best of NAB Show” and “HiVi Grand Prix Award” in 1995, “Editor’s Pick Best of NAB Show” in 1998, Emmy Award in 2001, “Best Video De-interlace/Scaler on the Market” in 2001. He was first person to propose 120Hz scan rate with MEMC technology for LCD Industry in 2004
Xu Dong was born in Beijing, China. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University, US with Doctoral Degree in Electronics.
• Ming Ma, PhD, Chief Technology Officer, co-founder of PowerLayer Microsystems. Dr. Ma has 15 years industry experience with C-Cube and LSI Logic. Formerly a Fellow of C-Cube, China GM of LSI Logic. He has many years of experience in developing and successful market launch of products such as VCD, DVD, Recordable DVD , EVD, and STB chips that generated billions US dollars revenue for the company.
In 1982, Ming received the scholarship from China Ministry of Education to study abroad when he was a graduate student. Dr. Ma holds an PhD in Electronics Engineering from Hokkaido University, Japan
• Winston Chen, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing of PowerLayer Microsystems. Winston is responsible for all of company’s sales efforts and customer relationship, product strategy, management and marketing, as well as field applications development, to drive market growth and promotion of PowerLayer’s solution worldwide. With more than 24 years of experience across marketing, engineering, and sales, he was previously with various semiconductor startups and public companies such as ATI Technologies, Trident Microsystems, Advanced Micro Devices, TriQuint Semiconductor, and Monolithic Memories. He has delivered over $2 billion revenue over his career. Winston has been recognized for his achievements in building relationships and “win-win” successes with customers and partners in consumer electronics and personal computer industries worldwide. While at ATI, he received “DTV Sales of the Year” awards from 2003 to 2007, as well as the “ATI Award of Excellence” for North America PC OEM.
Winston holds an MBA. from Santa Clara University, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles, and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Summa Cum Laude from University of California, Los Angeles. He is also co-author of a US patent, as well as served as the Chairman of Program Committee, IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, Silicon Valley Chapter
• Anthony Wen, Controller, VP of PowerLayer Microsystems. Anthony possess 14 years of professional accounting, financial analysis, internal control and audit experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, HP and Lucent Technologies in the US, Canada, and China. Since returned to China in 2006, he worked for Ernst & Young in Beijing. Anthony then acted as architect to build worldwide internal control framework for ReneSola (NYSE: SOL) and financial consultant to provide accounting and controlling advisory service for Availink (a TV IC design & manufacturer)
